Telling Tails

Water of sound echolocation
tail locomotion seven seas relation
marked by notches in the fin
family pods swimming water in
breaching the surface human show
blowhole of air dinosaurs to know
dust cloud gap of air to breathe and live
signs past evolutionary tips to give
names giving flukes separation same
all life of survival is just a game
they swam with heads just above the sea
millions of years passed into what they'll be
singing, playing and protecting
majestic and powerful leadership electing
same behavior animal kingdom sea and land
their barnacles now scrubbed with our hand
how close those links in the path
one giant asteroid altering wrath
holding in air periods long time ago
evolving from land and forcibly so
