California.

Michael A. Watkins 1965 (san diego)

A million dancing lights-
reflecting off the ocean's top,
not a cloud up in the sky
it seems the blue will never stop,
the sun will touch your skin
but never burn you with the heat,
a gentle breeze will cool you
and compliment you when they meet,
more beautiful than the weather
is the people that you pass,
the shirt that's on their back-
they'll kindly give you, if you ask,
lights and cloudless skies
with sun and smiles throughout the year,
friendly faces and open arms-
WE can't wait till you get here.
