In a trice

I saw the heavens smile at me
All  in joyous  waltz , and cosmic glee
All those notes that  soothed my being
That made me long for the longest dream
The dream of my dreams…
A priceless treasure …I dreamt I owned…
On a prided tiara I always wore.
To make myself the queen,
The queen of my own realm.

In a trice ...
 The skies are dark and shady,
The storm collects the dust in whirls,
The river's now in deep eddies..
My pride in bouts of shaking
Shaking like  autumn Aspen leaves..

 In a trice….
 I sit  with my head on my knees
My  hair let down , my tiara gone,
A tiny voice  echoes in me
“ ephemerality..ephemerality.. “
Ephemeral joys!
Eternal are woes !
Life's realities and its oddities.
