Analysis of Of January
Jelly P. Brown 2006 (Michigan)
It's January,
The month of beginnings.
Maybe this year, I can
Stop losing and start winning.
January, my
Month of mistakes,
Is when I start being real
And stop being fake.
This year, as the world
Slowly but surely turns,
I shall see how many
Lessons I can learn.
I haven't read Proverbs,
But I have read Psalms,
Keeping God's Holy Bible
In my lap and palms.
Every chapter, every day,
Has become a new lesson.
The only good way is God's way,
And that's my only impression.
