Analysis of Illusions
I’ve been drowning all this time
Slowly killing myself in the ocean of eyes
Oh you spotlight
Shine on me please
But hide all my insecurities
Hide my pain and all my feelings
For them to see a stronger version
Of a broken heart and a broken record
That was fixed in half an hour
In a bathroom’s open stall.
But isn’t it better in the light?
For them to see my better version
So turn off the lights
Let me be in the dark
Where I could be that person
The one
The real version.
