Analysis of Shedding Density

Dear, my dear,
my deepest fear;
I vanquish you,
you’re in the clear.

No purpose now,
no purpose here;
I’ve shed the pain,
the blood, the tears.

I’ve run from pasts,
my shadow casts;
but where we run
we come right back.

I stare you deep
and dissolve in love;
embrace myself
for how far I’ve come.

You used to make me hesitate;
I haven’t felt that as of late.
I’ve been scared of judgement,
scared of hate
but I'm done with being scared of fate.

So do your best
but I will not stand
- for perfection -
I'm just a man.

Where I’ve been
is not who I am;
the future lives
inside my hands…
