Analysis of When You Can't Go On

When you can't go on you can go off
the path that caused you pain.
All failed crusades you can scoff
and fight a new campaign.
When you can't go on you can go back
to a happier time.
All harsh timbres you can track
and ring a soft wind chime.
When you can't go on you can go through
the door of sunny day.
All dead flowers you can strew
and style a fresh bouquet.
When you can't go on you can go down
the stream of calm recess.
All awkward steps you can clown
and make a smart progress.
When you can't go on you can go far
into a sacred place.
All fear and doubt you can bar
and do an about-face.
