Analysis of Thought Of Her Today
Why today
After all this time
Would I think of her
As though she were mine,
The love we shared
Is over and done
So why now
Do my emotions run,
Was it the distant smell
Of her perfume
Or was it
Her favorite flower in bloom,
Why today
After all this time
Would I think of her
As though she was mine,
Was it the way
The sun shined
On her darkened hair
Or the way
The breeze gently tossed it
In the air,
No matter the reason
Or how time
Will inner twine
The facts are
She is no longer mine!
