Analysis of The List

Man of 2k was the list of the day And it seemed like each one had something to say Was it Shakespeare or Einstein or President Abe In Baseball of course the choice was the Babe Experts were questioned they all were so sure That they knew the one who first opened each door It came to the point they were ready to fight Over which of these men was the one who was right But none of the experts mentioned old Sven Who herded his sheep back in 1310 He toiled all day so his children could eat Even Ghandhi didnt have such blistered feet But Sven didnt sign the treaty of Ghent Or even discover a new continent An apple never bounced off his head Nor did he play for the Grateful Dead He lived a full life with friends and his kin So he wouldnt have cared that he didnt win And although his memory is now shrouded in mist The simple man is number one on my list
