Analysis of The End
Your mom had been so kind to me.
I didn't even say goodbye.
Happy Easter, thanks for dinner.
Feel better. See you soon, I lied.
She winced and moaned, we drove away.
You bad blind son, ignored her pain.
I saw the shroud that covered her,
As that black mass spread through brain.
Your golden ring by contrast had,
Your empty eyes and cold grey heart.
I couldn't stand that you weren't mad,
And that difference drove us apart.
Your mother had called me daughter,
But I would never be your wife.
The selfish fear that rose in me-
You'd care so little for my life.
