Analysis of Sorrowful Sunrise

Soil lies beneath their feet,
she, trying to stop the knife's thrust,
blood flows freely from open gashes,
wounds that will never heal,
night surrounds them,
enveloping all in a cloak of darkness,
sorrow enters the void love once filled,
crying for him to stop, she weeps,
but the blade continues to rain down,
until the hand finally comes to a halt,
as she sobs at his side,
cradling his fading body in her arms,
the sun rises after twilit rest,
shining on one who will rise no more.
