Analysis of Shells of Faith

Once songs of praise fill'd these shrines of glory
Crumbling cathedrals brother sun peeks his roving eye
Shadows trace the footsteps of Christian Monks
Whose chanting voices echo'd
Now where only memories lie
Sister moon with thy pale white smile
Bathe the ruins shaped by the dust of time
Light the stairs of medieval stones forgotten
Tread by brothers when the bells in the abby chimed
Greyish skeletons of bricks and mortar
Relics shrouded by the mist of dusk and dawn
Guardians whose walls still inspire awe
Though their choral masters have come and gone
