Analysis of Seasons

I do so love the springtime
With it's promise of life anew
Light green colors sweep the earth
Beneath a sky of vibrant blue

The beauty then is so sublime
I know that Spring is my favorite time

But... I really love the summer
When the earth is rich and lush
The sun shines hot, the days run long
People are in an excited rush

Intoxicating in its prime
Yes, Summer, that's my favorite time

Yet... I truly love the Autumn,
When the earth takes on a brilliant hue
The evenings with their early chill
And mornings wet with dew

Now THIS is beauty so sublime
Autumn surely is my favorite time

Though... I also love the winter
When all is cold and still
The earth awaits to be renewed
Days glide by, and soon, it will

I love to hear the season's chime
Winter, that may be my favorite time

Each season has it's magic
From winter right through Fall
And each has it's own beauty
In truth, I love them all

Ellen Eaton

Writing thoughts into poetry, what a wonderful way to keep thoughts and events from flitting away. As a jewelry designer and long time antique jewelry dealer, poetry gives me a moment to pause from all of that, which, though tremendously fun and rewarding, can overtake everything. Sitting back for a moment to write about my life in poetry form keeps things in perspective. And especially now, as I lost my beloved husband so recently. He was my heart, my soul, my greatest love and my best friend. Everything I did was magic in his eyes. I've lost my most loyal fan. But I'll catch up with him soon enough, what a reunion that will be! more…
