Analysis of Run Away
You opened up your heart to me,
And told me what's inside.
Perhaps persuaded by the liquor,
And maybe it hurt your pride.
But you didn't tell me anything,
That I didn't already know.
Even though I knew it,
It wasn't enough to make me go.
You've spent most of your life,
Running from place to place.
When things got to serious,
You were gone without a trace.
Protecting your broken heart,
And trying to ease your pain.
You found ways to cover up,
What was driving you insane.
You won't trust any man,
And want to do it on your own.
That is the very reason,
You always end up alone.
You used to cry at night,
Dreaming how life should be.
Afraid to take a chance,
You run away from me.
I know you are scared,
And don't know what to do.
I just want your love.
I pray it will come true.
What am I supposed to do,
If you won't give me the time of day.
Everytime we get close,
You always run away.
