Analysis of Reflection

I SEE MY REFLECTION in THE WINDOW.
THE LINES on MY FACE THAT WERE not THERE BEFORE.
AGING is SLOWLY CREEPing IN.
THE INEXORABLE PROCESS of SENESCENCE and DEATH.
TO WATCH MY SURROUNDINGS CHANGING SLOWLY
OR not NOTICING at ALL.

WHERE TIME SEEMS to TAKE US,
WE CAN'T ESCAPE the
EFFECTS
THAT AGING casts UPON US,
THE LOSSES WE ENDURED.

IN A LIFE TIME
WE have MEASURED
THE good TIMES AND THE bad,
THE REFLECTION in THE WINDOW
SEEMS TO BE the least IMPORTANT OF IT ALL.
