Analysis of Preachment For An Atheist

The sheepskins on the wall are dead testimonies
Of the truth that, indeed--you are no wiser
Than the rat caught in a trap--under my kitchen
Sink. (The trap should have "told" the rat to
Stay away...those sheepskins should have drawn
You "into the fold.") Your philippics on radio and tv
Are plain nonsense, yet did find receptive ears....
And by heart, not ear, "the giant within" every man,
Woman and child of varied colors and persuasions
Wakes...staring at you--in the face...invoking
The wrath of conscience of generations past and present...
Engaging in rhetoric, the like of which
I reckon, you did not expect. If you intended the
Lady to kneel before you, you failed. Bigtime!
She's much too proud (for all the right reasons)
And regal for a fool ("The fool hath said, there
Is no God, but the end thereof is....") like you.
She only kneels--in prayer to a Creator
That has "endowed you with certain inalienable
Rights," such as why you are...what I'm definitely not.
