Analysis of Planetary Alignment

Maybe its what aligned upstairs,
That made us despair,
Before the night,
The 30th of June was there.
It was one of those days,
When you wake in a haze,
Not sure if you're aware.

Then as you walk,
Confused and misdirected,
Fumbling toward,
Smiles and missed attention,
You are suddenly clawed,
By anguish and deception.
Reminded by the powers,
Of this affliction.

But what has it caused,
But another prediction?
A wake up call,
And another question?
A life gone cold,
for a split second?
A broken soul,
And a new direction?

My tearful sorrow
Helped me realise,
Looking back now,
I see the para-lines.
Sometimes life,
Seems to coincide.
That outside forces,
Can effect our lives.

My story and your story,
Might sound the same,
When looking at it,
Through an open flame.
But when you put
All the pieces in place,
There's nothing there that's close.
It was just that ripple effect,
Planets and stars the most.

I guess it just mattered
Which side of the bed?
Or which side of the moon
You woke up on instead?
Or what breakfast you had that morning
Was it cereal or bread?

Who bloody knows!?
But that ripple effect
Caused a whole heap of hurt
And some regret
To the people it chose
To reset
Hard love tapped those,
Needing to sort their sh*t.

I certainly know I
Wasn't missed,
Its over now
until next time i guess..
till the next alignment
or near miss

Geni Kelepouris

I began writing when i was 16. I enjoy expressing myself through all forms of art ( my profile pic is one of my art pieces). I have had a life full of tragedies and suffer post traumatic stress. I find that art and writing soothes my soul and allows me to heal from all the pain that has been haunting me. I have an obsession with existence and love nothing more than to discuss all the different theories of why we are here. My poems cover a range of topics from love and inspiration to complete random mania. There are also some very deep poems that i needed to write to get the sorrow from my life. I just hope whoever is reading them enjoys them. more…
