Analysis of One Last Time

We spoke of times past
We spoke of a hoped for future
But in the corner of your eye
Formed a perfect silver tear

Its shape was luxurious
Its surface smooth and clear
And despite all of the words and promises
All of the words fell empty upon the tear

Our time together had past
Our destinies were no longer intertwined
We stood together one last time
We stood together one last time.
