Analysis of Of Truth, Poet And Racism

Truth is never a reality,
Until it is made bare and naked that
It shouts--right in the face!
Denying its existence (because
It hurts) demeans
The reality of one's being
The very reason that
It is, what is it: a call to life
To face up to its true meaning.
A poet, who does not only write
"Sweet nothings," but endeavors
To write the wrong (the ugly
Face of truth) in a society
Is a hero, or a saint not to himself
But to people living a lie, or
As is the truth--in denial....
Racism is truth "told" again and again,
As dark and bright are night and day.
And it hurts, like nothing else that
It stirs the mind...and--kills the body.
