Analysis of No longer near

I have no desire to be with another woman, forever in my heart you lay.
The tenderness of your touch has not left me, but yet it seems so far away.

your smell on my pillow has slowly faded, and your creases in my sheet soon disappeared.
the birds don't chirp at my window anymore, they left the day you were no longer near
