Analysis of My favorite

Those incredible moments pass so fast like grains of sand in timer
I have a photo of you still, my daily reminder
Of what you were to me when I was so young
I often wonder what you’d think of me now had your life carried on
I hope you’re proud of what I have turned out to be
I often think you’re up there looking down on me
I remember those Sundays, all of us eating lunch together
I looked around, my family as one, strong for one another
We’d play pool, darts or watch cartoons on TV
Unless lunch was too much and you’d fall asleep on me
I felt like you were my best friend growing up
I never saw you angry, you always smiled so much
I think that’s why I loved you so much
I wish I could be like you one day
To have a young child look up and say
Grandad, you’re the best, please don’t ever go away.

Adrian Epstein

I have been writing poetry on and off for years... not because I think I'm good but because I love expressing myself this way. Its so much easier to write things down on a page, I guess a poem is somekind of diary for me of what went on in a moment of my day. more…
