Analysis of mutilation man

watching you walk away
I know why I wasn't worth it
your words were sure
cut me out to make the picture perfect

how embarrassing it must have been
to say I was a friend
and faking that affection
gave you practice to pretend

laughing face to face with him
while I'm watching from across the room
it's no different to witness the kiss
you give the man you chose to groom

hold me close so you can kill me
hug me tight, the knife right in my back
I've been your voodoo doll, a pin cushion
since the start of your psychic attack

my mutilated remains
sink into the quicksand
and still I'm stuck under the impression
that I'm your man
