Analysis of Love's Lawn
As our friendship stretched itself on love's lawn,
we laughed at the world's dark insanity,
where souls loathe others more often than not.
The warmth of close bonds kept us in the realms
of beautiful colours as the chill breeze
in humanity's bones threw its horrid
adoration at our feet; toes pulling
faces from painted nails and freedom's breath.
We would never neglect our affection,
or ever let vile society strike
our cheeks with its lipstick mentality,
all we needed was wine and candy smiles
as passion soaked up the sky's fresh wisdom.
The spirals of strangers can twist all day,
but their fast movement won't snap our spirits,
here within the tight wrapped fabric of us.
