Analysis of Lost And Shattered In The Landmines Of Our Lifetime

we were just on the cusp of our star-crossed relationship
the constellations just wouldn't let us start our engines
tossed across the titantic ocean just as we abandoned ship
but all along, all we were trying to do was to find our little place in heaven

we were just running out of luck when the gun-smoke and dust settled
running from the laws of lust from all of the self-appointed judges
we wanted to find our way but all of our friends and families just mettled
but all along, all we wanted was to paint our landscape on to this crimson canvas with our paintbrushes

we were just stuck on the stalemate of this treacherous game of love
how hot, heavenly and heavy it may be, our hearts never held a grudge
we must've met each other a million times in all of our other past lives
but we missed our chance for romance when god finally gave us our last try

we were just bloodthirsty for some destined journey that fate had delivered us
but we were walking into splintered woods, from the crack of dawn until the darkest of dusk
lost and shattered in the landmines of our lifetime, when we were too blind to see, that our time has come and gone
i'm sorry it had to be this way my lady, it just wasn't meant to be, so we'll go down our paths separately, so, so long
