Analysis of Let The Healing Now Begin

Some will say it's time for closure:
"Let the healing now begin:
forgive, forget and get over
betrayal, lies, exploits and sin."
Yet there are wounds so destructive
that they scar the very soul;
undermine the trust we've given,
slashing "fabrics" we once thought whole.
We can learn to accept sorrow.
Coexist with heartbreak loss.
Find new interests, joy and purpose;
in moments shelving ugly dross.
But the pain is there for reasons,
teaching which maps to be used:
keeping us on track and focus
so future choice won't be confused.
Let's not simply stitch-up feelings,
like the flesh surgeons can seal.
Know emotions, grow in wisdom,
face the encounters life will deal.
