Analysis of Leave The Light On
Leave the light on in the hall
the dark shadows in my room
seem to move.
What was that I saw?
A figure creeps across the wall,
But it’s just a shadow after all.
What is that creaking sound
coming up the stairs?
It is just the dark
playing on my fears.
Turn the light off in the hall,
for shadows are only shadows
After all.
