Analysis of internal affairs

check my fellow passengers like a thief:

this woman's hands
look like hers and
her sweater covers her neck the same way
and others read
underneath the subversive light of the
subway car.

particular to a hint of snow,
and the slow relief of release,

a fresh coat of awe, thrown over everything,
startles.
