Analysis of Intention

I didn't intend to love you.
I didn't mean to care.
I wanted you to be my friend
And nothing more to share.

You were simply my buddy.
You were my companion.
You were the one who played the games
Whether we lost or won.

We found a certain magic.
We found a chemistry.
We found our hearts interlacing:
Astounding mystery.

As travelers on special roads,
As entities supple,
As separate individuals
We are now a couple.

It happened without seeking.
It took us by surprise.
It had a breathtaking power:
True love to realize.
