Analysis of Inside A Large City

Thick soot haze shrouds all around,
stench and decay hereabouts abound,
gagging cough and head now thick,
purulent lungs, a death not quick.
These new found wonders, they do taint,
blackened adobe brick and peeling paint,
all those around scurry like mice,
in reality they live life like lice.
The prophet's pen once wrote long ago,
these new men their greed would bestow,
a legacy of hardship and gloom,
from birth of man unto his tomb.
