Analysis of In the End
In the end its just ashes.
Or maggots skimming through a flesh long since dead,
Long since lost.
In the end its a tragedy of sorts.
Give Time a little time to unravel its mysteries:
but mere truths masked by the
need for aversions in our eyes.
In the end, that mystery dies.
In the end, its just ashes.
Or tired bones left
in an existence that was never what is was meant to be.
In the end, there's nowhere left to run free.
Give a hope another chance,
Let it jump around and dance
Let the parathion seep in.
In the end, there's nothing left, but a bitter giving in.
There are thickets to unravel,
And ghosts to leave behind.
Because in the end,
your pain,
is just as inconsequential as mine.
For in the end, its just ashes.
Ashes. Ashes. Ashes.
Much to lose right now,
and much to give away,
for in the end there's nothing
but a deathly wish to stay.
