Analysis of If I had a penny

If I had a penny for all your thoughts,
I'd carry them with me forever and a day
And cherish every cent you gave
Like I treasure every word you say.

Would I had a penny for every hug.
Like the sunshine upon my face,
Is the warmth that I have come to feel,
Created by your strong embrace

If given a penny for every hour
I'd press the wealth unto my heart,
The moments I treasure spent with you
Throughout the times we spend apart.

If a penny were had for every breath
That I've devoted to only you
Be sure, my love, a fortune we'd grow
From a love that's only true.

A lucky penny, to be sure,
To acquire such possessions
As a thought, a hug, an hour, a breath
Offered with love and adoration.
