Analysis of Her Rose Dress

There she was again

Stretched out beneath a blossom tree

Pink petal madness in her hair

Eyelids softly fluttering

There she was again

Her body adorned in roses, plush

Enveloping her in sweet fragrance

Making the boldest lover blush

And there she was boasting

About April's sweet blue showers

Trickling down her freckled skin
Blooming with all the flowers

Softly into September

Where she wanders the orchard wall

Cupping together warm hands

Catching soft apples when they fall

Cold cripples her rosy dress
She pales from such distress

Losing petals with every footfall

Lonely chills gather upon her breast

And early within November's morns

Do I see her outside the pane

Clutching together the wilted roses

Kissing the green goodbye again...

And there she walks, I dare not follow

With every step, each rose dies

Swept away into freezing winds

You hear not a whimper nor sigh

There she stands, wearing confidence

Her paled body baring all to see

As the ground is quietly covered in white
Her eyes so bright and glittering

And there she is in bleak December

Comfort and joy in her stare
Singing softly to the lifeless garden
The world still unnervingly bare

I catch her melody in the wind
As the trees sway this way and that
Overwhelming me, but I know where she'll be
Beneath the blossom tree, she sat
