Analysis of Harmattan in the countryside

When the weather is warmer
As the nimbus the sky deserts
And the northern winds driving the air
Swift and violent from the desert
With the foliage falling from the tress
Moving with the winds, sweep the earth
And laden earth swims in the dust
The weather becomes cold and bad for the old

The cold and dry winds bound to the south
In morning and night the cold wind blows
Thick fog in the air cloud the eyes
With dust and ashes early in the morning
Glimmering in the dust at dawn
Brown children scamper for warmth
And peasants no longer looking sound
The waters are cold and bad for the old

Burnt brown by the scorching sun
Beaten by cold, they quiver and shiver
Laden by dust, tossed by the winds
Their skin a pale bronze crack from dryness
The women and children stream to the stream
Fetching water to cook, wash and drink
The waters are cold and bad for the old

Though dewdrops at dusk dampens the dust
Dehydration in the day takes them away
When it is cold and bad for the old.
