Analysis of Graceful Love

Life is tragic…

It is a neuce in a tree,
A car wreck on the highway,
A broken heart,
A broken bone,
A bleeding vein…

The way it affects us appears to others as if it were a spotlight.

But tragedy isn’t the only thing people can see…

They see happiness…

The laughter of a newborn baby and the joy of the baby’s parents as they look at they’re child…

They see excitement…

The smiles on thousands of little childrens' faces on Christmas morning just before they open presents…

All of these things are often seen everyday…

However, unlike the last two, tragedy has struck our world so quickly with a dagger engraved with pain and suffering.

We see it throughout every aspect of life…

High school bullies,
Children crying,
Broken hearts,
Crushed dreams…

In this world…
The world we have made…

These things are common…

Still, you have to wonder, what could restore this world back to peace and happiness?

In fact, as a teenager, this is something that I think about quite often…

It’s only one word…

And it’s LOVE…

This is what puts the smile back on the innocent woman’s face,
Or the joy back into the souls of the people.

It causes a girl who once looked weak and ugly to become the most beautiful girl in the world.

It returns the shimmer to her eye as she listens to his voice whispering in her ear…

They both know that this is what they’ve needed all their life…

The childhood friends they once were slowly disappear into a now larger,
Greater place of peace and happiness…

No more sadness,
No more tears,
Or sorrow,
Or fears…

No more blood,
Or broken hearts…

No more nights wasted with unhappy thoughts or selfish dreams…

Everything he could ever want is laying in his arms,
And she never dreamed she would be happy again…

But love isn’t just a dream…
It’s real…

Just like tragedy and sadness, love is everywhere we go…

And everyone knows that that’s all they need…

So they search and search until they find what they’ve been looking for…

Sometimes it takes 20 years,
Other times you know who it is but you don’t realize the connection until it’s nearly too late…

But someday,
That one guy you once called "friend" will lean in,
Close to your ear,
And whisper three simple words…

Simple, yet powerful enough to take your breath away…

To steal you heart from your chest and give you the most insane case of butterflies the world has ever seen…

And you know what?

You will have one reaction…

You will close your eyes,
Open your mouth,
And say the same three words…

Not because you just want to say it back,
Or because you don’t want him to feel bad or sad…

But because you…

The girl who cried,
Who slept alone her whole life,
Who was hurt,
Ripped and torn,
And who was attacked by the tragedy ingulfing this world…

Knows that it’s true…
