Analysis of For You I Waited

I waited one hundred years
just to find clear choice.
I could not believe my ears when I heard your voice.

I routed one hundred lands
just to find my win.
I could not believe my hands when I felt your skin.

I forgot one hundred mates
just to find true love.
I could not believe my fates when I fit your glove.

I tested one hundred clues
just to find true tips.
I could not believe my coos when I kissed your lips.

I let fly one hundred plays
just to find big game.
I could not believe my days when I said your name.

I vetoed one hundred tries
just to find pure grace.
I could not believe my eyes when I saw your face.
