Analysis of Feelings Drift
Feelings drift from hurt to rage,
waking to an empty room.
You disappeared in the night,
painting truth in shades of gloom.
Fear leapt from a dream to real,
when you left with no goodbyes.
Love was abandoned in hast,
and it brought tears to my eyes.
Excuses grew as truth shattered,
and jagged shards pierced my heart.
For love's but a fantasy,
that anxiety tore apart.
I truly believed in you
and can't conceal my pain.
I'm left teetering on the brink,
at the edge of insane.
Hope departs and hurt arrives,
for I weep most every day.
And tears wash away color,
turning everything to gray.
