Analysis of Doing Well

Living large, living small,
living in an urban sprawl.
Playing hard, playing fair,
playing at the village square.
Dancing fast, dancing slow,
dancing everywhere you go.
Serving man, serving God,
serving time for gadget fraud.
Cruising loose, cruising free,
cruising on a sapphire sea.
Driving near, driving far,
driving in a sheriff's car.
Jumping up, jumping down,
jumping for a victor's crown.
Loving some, loving all,
loving even serfdom thrall.
Singing high, singing low,
singing in a minstrel's show.
Doing well, doing good,
doing everything you should.
