Analysis of Distressed and Rustic
Gapping holes in the concrete show
The rusting rebar and the golf balls
of rock just waiting their turn
to be kicked down the stairs
Given the right lighting
and a few tricks of computer editing
marketing types might call it “distressed”
or “rustic”
But we tell ourselves it’s nobody’s fault
really, these things just happen
time and pressure wear it down
while we all pay attention to
the other things.
