Analysis of Cold Acceptance
When all is said and done,
When the west is finally won,
Will I still have a home
Beneath these big blue skies?
They fill their mouths full of lies
Beneath the scorching sun,
And there's nowhere left to run.
We are a people left without a home.
Our nation is far scattered.
Our homes are left in tatters.
My mother's dead...
My father's gone...
And somehow I'm the one
That's in the wrong.
They say that forgiveness is power,
And that may be true.
But the words you speak are sour;
And the only thing I owe you,
Is cold acceptance....
That there's nothing I can do.
This trail is marked by tears
Of a ravaged and mourning people.
Time has remembered those years
Of a nation once proud and regal.
