Analysis of Country Boy

Peter Utecht 1956 (Minnesota)

I'm a Country Boy
Living in a City World
With a city home, a city job and a city girl.
But the country life
Is calling me from inside
Saying come back to the country
Way of life
Watch the rivers flow
Watch the pine trees grow
Watch the lakes
Reflect the sunshine
And leave the city life behind....
Living in the city
What's a country boy to do?
When the rat race and the fast pace
Gets me feeling blue
I pick up my guitar
And play another song
But when the lights come on in the city
I'm still alone
Watch the rivers flow
Watch the pine trees grow
Watch the lakes
Reflect the Sunshine
And leave that city life behind....
Theres a country fire
Living in my soul
And I just love to feel
The country wing blow.....
Watch the rivers flow
Watch the pine trees grow
Watch the lakes
Reflect the Sunshine
And leave that city life behind....
