Analysis of Happy Tears
Sherri L. Smith 1966 (Alexandria , VA)
The tears that I cried yesterday
Today, I hope to wipe away
When sad, I try to smile
If not forever, at least for a while
Just to be happy and free
And explore the innermost part of me
To wipe away all fears
And be rescued from drowning tears
To keep my life afloat
I sing a melodious note
