Analysis of A Prayer from Distress
A Prayer from Distress
My outward trouble , and inward distress
Is just a reflection , this world is a mess
Annoyance arising , through war of the mind
Is just an example , so easy to find
The men of this world , that persecute me
Are only illusions , of trouble I see
Temptations that come , through Satan's delight
Are the sins I endure , through the trouble I fight
God breathed my existence , and then gave unto me
His Son , who's my Savior , who now sets me free
I lift up my hands , in Praise to my Lord
And now realize , that His word is my sword
I'm fighting the battle , with fervor and might
To undo the wrong , and do what is right
