Analysis of X's & O's
Brayden Valley 2002 (PA)
The love-seeking eyes that were of my own looking for someone that can hold my heart in their hands
Just like a mother with her newborn both can't understand each other
but they can feel the loving tension between one another
My palms sweaty fighting the urge not to tell her that her eyes sparkle like moonlit
Looking at her like she's the one but knowing that I could never call her my sunflower
The shaky words that were spoken when I ask if she could be the one that could fill in my cracks
Us being intertwined together like Adam and Eve were before he found his soulmate
The lust scented breath that was exhaled when her blood filled lips touched mine
Her lips felt like silk-like she was a tailor that made my clothes so I wouldn't forget what they felt like when we left for the night
Her hands that felt like needles when she touched my soft skin
My breathing getting faster feeling claustrophobic
My heart that was calm and collected now struck with a pain that left me on my face
Her loving kiss that healed my wounds from her own doing
My heart having flashbacks to when he broke like a father losing his son to an intruder
Feeling helpless knowing that I could have done something but I didn't
Me covering his mouth so he won't speak to her
Her feeling like I’m her knight and shiny armor
Me feeling like the peasant that is helping her with her crops with no payoff
My ragged clothes that have a hint of formaldehyde on them
Preserving my body when she can use it for her enjoyment
My premarital thoughts that were shutdown like my Aorta not getting a flowing love anymore
My rough skin that has small holes from when she pushed me over
I tried to stop him from speaking but he's seen enough through my tired eyes
He not gonna let me be a martyr anymore
Kill me but don't forget I treated you with respect and you spit in my eyes so I wiped them clean
You stepped on my toes so I got boots
You showed my body to others and I didn’t even touch yours
I accused of only wanting sex but never accused of wanting to feel loved once again
My hearts a glass castle and you threw stones at it hoping to break it but it only made me destroy it myself
