Analysis of Evolved

Like a kitten longing
To join in the play- is she
'Let those inhibitions GO!'
Says her heart- 'BE FREE!'
But there's something else whispering
That drowns out those words
'You'll never belong'
'Stay away from their hurts'
The war that is waging
Between longing and fear
Keeps her feet planted
She'll never go near
Exhausted from the struggle
Ne'er did she move
Succumbing to doubts
That never were proved
So there she lies
Awaiting the day
When another emotion
Begs fear to obey
When COURAGE gains it's voice
And shouts out to the fear,
'You're no longer welcome!'
'Her freedom is here.
