Analysis of Told you

Sometimes I wish I would've told you how I felt,
Stuck around a little more abd play the cards I was dealt.
I ran from everything including you,
Darkness took over my life I couldn't see through.
My whole life was a secret I never let anything in,
When it came to relationships I didn't know where to begin.
I hurt people before they hurt me,
Pushing people away this isn't who I wanted to be.
I cannot love I was never taught,
So for loneliness is all I've sought.
Then came the day that I met you,
I seen a beautiful soul that's been through things to.
In a world full of darkness you brought me light,
When I'm with you I actually want to fight.
I wish you would've got the chance to know me,
Because right beside you was always right where I wanted to be.
