Analysis of From The Fields Of Crop To The Mount Of Carmel.
A young farm labourer’s daughter
Trained well for farming work
Until in her late teens she
Decided to follow Christ.
After some priestly discussions
And introductions to leading
Nuns, Sheila, opted for the
Order of Mount Carmel.
~
After some years of study
And contemplative prayer
She became a nun of the order
Of St. Teresa and St. John.
Which involved various trips
And retreats of prayer at
Different Convents throughout
The world…
~
An experience considered as
A-one by an Irish Colleen
Following the mount of
Aging up the steps of Carmel.
Her love of Mary ensured
A growth in her person
Akin to Our Mother of
The Immaculate Conception.
~
Yes, Sheila, renamed, Sister
Mary, entered the mystical
Garden of love whose source
Is He who is eternal Love.
A life travelled by many
Which akin to life in
General has its crosses and
The Eucharist for survival.
~
But a vocation loved by a
Farm labourer’s daughter
Now dwelling in the Garden
Of love at Mount Carmel.
That is a local countryside mystic
Whose vocation is the eternal
Offering of herself as a means
Of bringing us to eternal Love.
