Analysis of The Flower OfThe Roe

As I stroll the ‘wireless lane’ not
Far from the Roe there arises in
My memory that occasion when
We first met. And I still recall
Your presence on the old sand
Bed as you observed ducks
In search of their daily food.

It was a blessed meeting for in
Due course love arrived and in
Time we entered a Church and
You became my bride. And the
Following years were fruitful
Although we never had a child.
For our Creator is the Source of
All and it is best that with His will
We abide.

Oh, yes, my love what joy we
Had those years ago. For joy
Flew within our hearts as if
Akin to the flowing Roe. But,
Alas, I still miss you every day
Upon my departure from sleep. No
Matter if I’m far away or alongside
The Roe, for you are the flower of my
Life whom I met those loving years ago.
