Analysis of Sunset

In vespers, He calls me home
The ashen sky opens its hidden hues
Of crimson, silver, golden views
And sun amidst the giant dome

As cloud covers the mountain top
The rainbow loops to form a bow
Wrapping the gift from down below
Carefully laid to prevent the drop

In procession wisp feathers dust
The angels gather up above
Protecting me with all their love
As God commandeth: to love you must

The trees wear black in background view
To watch the solemn offering
To Him my soul is now approaching
While torches light the path anew

Father's embrace my welcome rite
My kins look up with somber heart
Moon rises then as we depart
The curtain draws to start the night.
