Analysis of Help Me Understand

Help Me Understand ?

We can, but only try
To understand the why
The reason we exist
Or how, we so persist
Amongst the good or bad
Within the joy or sad
To love and fill with hope
Or hate and only grope
they willingness to share
to help but wonder where
love is the essence of our mere the existence learn to shun its resistance
we traveled so far not to turn back now
can't turn around when your hands on the plow
so help me understand while living in a land that is so very mean

through the isle of dicontent have we made a single dent
why are the innocent found to be guilty
where is our sense of mere dignity
some say we are living in a foreign land
filled with kings and queens in their evil schemes
in time we shall shine the deep heart of love from straight help from above
