Analysis of Radial Photography, Human-centered

Radial Photography, Human-centered
By Xiaoyuan Yin

You never exerted gravity, the way neutron stars do, so why are all celestial objects attracted to you
Forming an equiangular spiral, like crested ibises underneath draperies of the dusk (the glistening tracks are not detailed in this shot
But an inevitable storm is brewing from their roots) all stars are hanging there in the shade
All rivers honor you as their very first explorer

There were ropes, invisible beyond the clouds: tightening up, driving them inwards
From chaos into sequences, from sequences to a singular point--
As if they were shoals charmed by sound waves: light and energy are converging on the edge. While within the circle,
The closer to the head of the rope, the larger holes there are, dispersed into space

‘Scenes of high density, die almost exclusively on the skyline/horizon
Or among sinned humankind.’ Forests, cobwebs, winding stairs, prayer flags…
(You are as smooth and as serene as a spinning cloisonné vase. Now light is chiseling cocoons of everything, from which giant mirages will emerge)

Whatever will come will be lodged among us: your features imitated, your tempo followed,
Your irises duplicated, just as in the eyes of a descendant
